Looking Ahead

In this blog, I will briefly touch on some of the hottest items on my plate starting with the latest with the contract offer from Pegasus Publishers, the upcoming newsletter, details involving Cataclysm, book trailers, and more.

Latest on Pegasus Publishers Contract Offer

I reached out to an agency in New York that represented a favorite author of mine. This author writes novels in the the same categories as Cataclysm. The endgame is to determine if an agent is willing to represent me since I have a contract offer in hand. And, if they are willing, then can they work a better deal than the one presented to me. The contract has an April 5 deadline, so I am hoping to receive an answer prior to then. Meanwhile, I will continue to work in the same capacity as I have been: as an independent author.

Newsletter: News from the Executive

As previously reported, I will be starting a newsletter campaign for my readers in the near future. It will feature first-read updates that might not otherwise be posted on the blog until a later date, giveaways, contests, short stories, and much more. I am also tossing a few ideas what to call the monthly newsletter.

Cataclysm Book Cover

Work on the new book cover commences March 1. The first draft should be presented within 10 days. I anticipate completion by April. I am thinking of throwing a special book cover preview party, so stay tuned.

Cataclysm Publication Date

As mentioned, a contract offer was made by Pegasus Publishers and I queried a literary agency in New York to see if they have any interest representing me and my project. If things remain status quo, the goal is to have a book release date of Tuesday, May 25. However, if something very good comes out of the traditional publishing route, then the release date will be addressed by them.

Where to Purchase Cataclysm

As an independent author, I play to "go wide." The novel will be made on a variety of platforms (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books to name a few). As of this update, eBooks and paperback (Amazon only) will be made available. Agents and publishers change the dynamics of this. Hardcovers and audiobooks could come into play with them.

Book 2 of the 11:34 Series

The sequel to Cataclysm is tentatively named All Hell Breaks Loose. I am currently writing this novel, so it is too early to tell if the title will stick or be changed at a later date.

Cinematic Trailers

While many gears are spinning, one such marketing cog are my cinematic trailers. There is a pretty good chance that I will replace the 2 Cataclysm trailers with a single trailer. The trailer for the second book is on pace to be released either this summer or fall.

New Website Features

The new (updated) website provides a cleaner look and incorporates some new eye-popping features. New features are being explored to give the site added appeal. A newsletter will soon make an appearance as will a page to contact me. Be sure to check back periodically so you don't miss out!
