Book 1 Update
I cannot say the "P" word. Not yet.
Everyone is patiently waiting for the first novel to be published. I have been quietly working with a company in New York, Write by Night, to see this through. It's an exciting time for me and the 11:34 series. We're close—and I mean very close—to making this a reality. I cannot disclose much more for now, but I feel more confident than ever that I will be reporting something more upbeat soon.
Book 2 Update
I am still working on the first draft of the second novel. Nothing new there. The newsworthy part is the book trailer. Over the past few months, I tried engaging a number of video production companies without much success, given the high cost of producing a video. To produce an 11:34 trailer would start at ten grand.
I did communicate with one company who was very willing to co-produce my new book trailer. My technical skills would help to significantly reduce the overall cost of the project if I decided to go that route.
Those close to me are familiar with the direction of the series and what to expect in the second novel. Some months ago, I began producing the trailer. I created an outline and storyboarded it. I produced a private, abstract trailer to help with the project layout and, more importantly, to get a reaction from those same people. It was positive, and the project continues to move forward. My knowledge and understanding of video production work and video editing have come a long way.
